Poem: My Little Secret

You’ll be delighted by my little secret.

Don’t know if I will share or I will keep it.

It’s the piece I’ve searched for to make it all fit.

Well if you must know, I am ready to let go.

Let go of the idea of me and you.

I watched it float away on a summer breeze, a weight was lifted and I could breathe.

I placed it into the sea, and watched the tide take it far from me.

I dropped it into a well, watched it sink down to where copper wishes dwell.

I fed it to scarlet flames, watched the rain wash it from my window pane.

My little secret.

Should I share or should I keep it?
